Chicago- The Disciples of Clyde Productions is pleased to announce the premier of the original comedy Saturday Morning Movie Club at the Stage Left Theatre in Wrigleyville. The play runs Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights at 8pm from April 9through May 2, 2009.
An original work written byDan Filowitz, Saturday Morning Movie Club is a comedic look at the relationship men have with their friends and their significant others.
Every Saturday Morning, Jonah Radmon gets together with his friends Drew and Greg to watch movies and crack jokes.However, Jonah’s girlfriend Sarah has just moved in with him.Now, Jonah is highly concerned about the inevitable collision between his two worlds.How will he handle it?How will his friends and girlfriend handle it?He likes life the way that it is, but he knows it can’t last.
Director Jen McGeeleads a talented cast as they take a funny and intimate examination of friendship, love, and movies.
Saturday Morning Movie Club is the fourth original piece staged by The Disciples of Clyde Productions, an independent company co-founded by Kenneth Paul Drews and Dan Filowitz. The previous three, So This One Time…, That Much Mentioned Brilliance, and National Flag Burning and Alternative Lifestyle Awareness Day: The Musical were co-written by Drews and Filowitz, and played to large audiences at Stage Left Theatre in early 2006, early 2007, and the summer of 2007, respectively.
